Artist in-Resonance

These bounteous gifts divest themselves
And in the breaking of promises
(not the braking for unicorns)
The life of the mind
Is re-awakened at the prospect
Of deceit.

To fool the eye
Is not simply word-play
for the fool.
The intention,
my lovely,
Is to instruct,
by falsity,
the strokes
that define
the underworld
of understanding.
